His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian gave Holy Communion to the students of Ecole Alex Manoogian on Wednesday, December 15th. in St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Cathedral of Montreal. The school's choir as well as the entire student population of elementary and secondary students sang festive Christmas songs. The school choir was led by Arto Muhendissian. The students were blessed to have the pleasure of hearing our beloved Bishop Bagrat Galstanian in turn, sing a couple of songs for the students. On this special occasion, the students of Alex Manoogian Varjaran received a commemorative pen from the church. The school in turn presented gifts to the church. After the ceremony, the students were received in the Marie Manoogian Hall for a luncheon which was much appreciated by all the students. Rev. Father Vazken Boyajyan coordinated the day's activities with Robert Kechayan, school principal. The school would like to thank the volunteer parents from the school as well as the volunteers from the church that worked very hard in serving the great number of hungry mouths. | ||||

Through the coordination efforts of Father Vazgen Boyajyan, students from Ecole Alex Manoogian visited a group approximately 30 Armenian senior citizens residing at Manoir Cartierville on Grenet Street on Monday, December 6th. The students sand festive songs in Armenian, French and English to the enthusiastic response of all. Various students also read poems that were much appreciated. The students were accompanied by Mrs. Vartouhie Balian, Mrs. Vartouhi Festekjian, and Mr. Arto Muhendisian who worked with our students to prepare them for this week's trip that proved to be emotional not only for our senior citizens but also for our young students. Mr. Robert Kechayan, Principal, presented a "poinsettia" plant and a copy of the school's current souvenir yearbook to Mrs. "Bolos". Mr. Kechayan promised to arrange regular visits to Manoir Cartierville over the course of the new year. | ||||||

La reconnaissance du génocide arménien ! | ||||||||
Afin de faire reconnaître le génocide arménien par le gouvernement canadien, tous les élèves de l'école ont envoyé des cartes postales au Premier Ministre du Canada. Ces cartes ont été conçues à l'ordinateur par les élèves du secondaire. En voici quelques exemples. | ||||||||
